5 miles - 450m ascent
Today's walk heads into the hills above the northern shores of Lake Iseo, climbing steadily through shaded woodland trails before emerging at the charming hilltop hermitage of San Defendente. The ascent is the most rewarding of the week, with sweeping panoramic views across the lake and deep into the Valle Camonica opening up as you climb. The church itself sits in a wonderfully peaceful setting - a lovely spot to pause and take in the scenery before the return descent. A memorable walk that captures the wilder, quieter side of Lake Iseo at its best. *Included wine tour at Berlucchi Winery.

5.5 miles | 205m ascent
Starting from the historic centre of Manerba del Garda, this scenic walk climbs gently through olive groves and vineyards before reaching the spectacular Rocca di Manerba — one of the finest viewpoints on the whole of Lake Garda. The ruins of the ancient fortress sit high above the water, with breathtaking views in every direction across the lake and surrounding hills. The ascent is steady and well within reach, making this a walk that rewards everyone in the group, whatever their pace. A real highlight of the week.
Enjoy a day in resort or join the optional excursion to stunning Lake Garda . Nestled at the foot of the Alps, Italy's largest lake offers breathtaking views, crystal-clear waters, and a charming blend of lakeside villages. Guests will board a boat for a scenic cruise across the lake, taking in the dramatic mountain backdrop and passing picturesque towns. There will be time to disembark and explore one of these charming lakeside settlements at your own pace, wandering cobbled streets lined with gelaterias, boutique shops, and inviting cafes.

Setting out from the attractive lakeside town of Iseo, today's walk offers a wonderful introduction to the rolling landscape of the Franciacorta wine region — one of northern Italy's most celebrated. A steady climb brings you to a hilltop sanctuary with fine views back over the lake, before the route descends gently through rows of vines, quiet country lanes and picturesque rural scenery. The combination of lake views, open countryside and the charm of the vineyards makes this a particularly varied and enjoyable day on foot, with the option to round things off with a visit to one of the local Franciacorta producers.
