Q: Where is your favourite place to walk and why?
Panicos: My favourite place to walk is the Akamas Peninsula, because of its unique rough landscapes and diversity with mountains and sea.
Q: How long have you been a walking guide?
Panicos: I have been a walking guide for over 20 years.
Q: What food would you recommend to take on a walk?
Panicos: Bananas, easy sandwiches and of course water.
Q: How far do you normally walk in a week?
Panicos: My feet do about 60 km a week.
Q: Do you use any specialist equipment?
Panicos: No, I don’t use any special equipment.
Q: How fit do you need to be to go on our walking holiday?
Panicos: My thoughts are going towards good health and a regular walker, that’s all.
A: Do you walk in all weathers?
Panicos: Yes, I walk mostly in all weather, but it’s not possible in Cyprus in full summer, when it is too hot.
Q: What to wear on a walking holiday?
Panicos: The best outfit consists of, good walking shoes, long comfortable trousers and maybe a hat if it’s sunny, and of course a backpack.
Q: What one item should you always pack for a walking holiday? (Not walking boots)
Panicos: A water bottle.
Q: Where was the last place you went on holiday?
Panicos: England
