Autumn Trip to the Algarve

During the middle of October the Involved Holidays team visited the Algarve to meet up with some familiar faces and some new ones to discuss our current holidays and exciting new ideas. See what we got up to on our trip below.

Day One

The first day of our trip took us to the timeless town of Tavira. A picturesque white washed town with wonderful narrow cobbled streets and character a plenty.

On the outskirts of the town is situated the four star Vila Gale Albacora hotel. The base for our latest popular Portuguese addition to our holiday collection, “Walking & Bird Watching in the Algarve”. Here we explored hotel rooms and the remote grounds surrounded by salt fields and wetlands, a perfect backdrop to enjoy a unique and peaceful getaway from all the hustle and bustle!

Day Two

The second day of our trip was a mixture of exploring our hotel the 4 star Holiday Inn Algarve, directly overlooking the golden sandy beaches of Armação de Pêra. Its central location and wonderful, breathtaking views across the beach directly below the hotel really are something else and are a highlight in their own right. Here we met our wonderful walking guide João, who escorts all our “Walking in the Algarve” groups. His local knowledge of the best areas to explore coupled with his years of walking experience in the area, make him the perfect person to guide your walk.

Later in the day we travelled two hours north up the east coast of Portugal to visit our “Walking in Portugal’s Cascais & Sintra Natural Park” walking guide Francisco, where we shared a delicious fresh seafood lunch and discussed new walking routes, destinations, and sampled some of the local wines.
